  1. Create detailed technical drawings for aircraft components and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  2. Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings.
  3. Review and revise technical drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
  4. Use knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes to ensure that technical drawings are feasible and practical.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any design issues or conflicts.
  6. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of technical drawings, revisions, and other project documentation.
  7. Continuously improve drafting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in drafting technology, and regulatory requirements.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  10. Assist in training and mentoring junior drafters and interns as needed.
  11. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that technical drawings meet specifications and standards.
  12. Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
  13. Proactively identify potential issues or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and proprietary designs.

  • Proficiency In Cad Software: Technical Drafters At Boeing Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software, Such As Autocad Or Catia, To Create Detailed And Accurate Technical Drawings.

  • Knowledge Of Engineering Principles: A Solid Understanding Of Engineering Principles, Including Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (Gd&T), Is Essential For A Technical Drafter At Boeing. This Knowledge Allows Drafters To Accurately Interpret And Translate Engineering Designs Into Technical Drawings.

  • Attention To Detail: Technical Drafters At Boeing Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Their Drawings Are Precise And Error-Free. In The Aerospace Industry, Even The Smallest Mistake Can Have Significant Consequences, So Attention To Detail Is Critical.

  • Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Engineers And Other Team Members Is Essential For A Technical Drafter At Boeing. They Must Be Able To Understand And Interpret Complex Engineering Designs And Communicate Any Issues Or Necessary Changes To The Team.
