  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of software safety principles and regulations in the aviation industry.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential safety hazards in software systems and develop mitigation strategies.
  3. Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety analyses to ensure the reliability and safety of software systems.
  4. Design and implement safety plans and procedures for software development and implementation.
  5. Perform regular safety audits and reviews of software systems to identify and address any potential safety issues.
  6. Communicate safety requirements and recommendations to software development teams and ensure they are integrated into the design and development process.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in software safety to continuously improve processes and standards.
  8. Provide guidance and support to software engineers on safety-related issues and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  9. Work closely with regulatory agencies and participate in safety certification processes for new software systems.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate the safety performance of software systems and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  11. Act as a liaison between engineering teams and customers to address any safety concerns or issues.
  12. Train and educate team members on software safety best practices and facilitate safety training programs.
  13. Identify and implement safety metrics to measure the effectiveness of safety procedures and processes.
  14. Report on safety performance and present findings and recommendations to upper management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Systems Engineering Or Software Development, With A Focus On Safety-Critical Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations For Software Safety, Such As Do-178C, Do-254, And Iso 26262.

  • Experience With Software Safety Analysis Techniques, Including Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Modes And Effects Analysis, And Hazard Analysis.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Software Development Lifecycle, Including Requirements Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, And Verification.
