  1. Conduct regular calibrations and inspections of equipment and instruments according to established procedures and standards.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any equipment or instrument malfunctions to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all calibration activities and results.
  4. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements in metrology and calibration techniques.
  5. Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to identify and resolve any issues with equipment or instruments.
  6. Monitor and analyze data to identify any trends or patterns that may indicate a need for equipment maintenance or adjustments.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when handling and operating equipment and instruments.
  8. Participate in the development and implementation of new calibration procedures and processes.
  9. Train and mentor new technicians to ensure proper understanding and execution of calibration procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of calibration tasks and to address any concerns or issues.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Metrology Principles And Measurement Techniques: A Qualified Metrology & Calibration Technician Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Measurement Principles And Techniques, Including Knowledge Of Various Metrology Equipment And Software.

  • Experience With Precision Measurement Equipment And Tools: The Job Requires Experience In Using Precision Measurement Equipment Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Coordinate Measuring Machines (Cmms), As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair These Tools.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: Candidates Should Have Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Iso 17025, As9100, And Ansi/Ncsl Z540, To Ensure Calibration Procedures Meet Quality And Safety Requirements.

  • Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills: Metrology & Calibration Technicians Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Maintain Accurate Records Of Calibration Procedures, Equipment Maintenance, And Inventory Management.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Role Requires Working Closely With Other Technicians, Engineers, And Quality Assurance Personnel, So Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
