Principal Scientist - Autoimmunity
Lead a group of scientists to experimentally develop differentiated disease positioning concepts for New therapeutic concepts in Scleroderma, to support I&R Discovery Research portfolio development. Develop and implement experimental ideas for delivering highly differentiated disease positioning concepts for targets in portfolio. Collaborate with in vivo group to enable back translation of human disease-relevant mechanisms to in vivo models Responsible for leading external collaborations and for establishing an external network to recruit and develop entry level Ph.D. and laboratory staff within the scleroderma disease positioning group. Develop scientific staff and mentor them in their experiments and for creating growth opportunities.
At least 7 years drug discovery experience in pharmaceutical industry or biotech, or equivalent.
A proven track record of high research productivity in immunology and fibrotic diseases.
Deep understanding of mechanisms and pathways in skin and fibrotic diseases and current treatment modalities.
