  1. Develop and implement effective strategies to create a positive and inclusive work environment for all colleagues.
  2. Handle complex employee relations matters with professionalism and tact.
  3. Provide guidance and support to colleagues and management on HR policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
  5. Conduct investigations and make recommendations for resolution of workplace disputes or conflicts.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate colleagues and management on HR policies and procedures.
  8. Analyze data and trends to identify potential areas of improvement in employee relations.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in labor and employee relations.
  10. Serve as a resource and advisor to management on employee relations issues.
  11. Manage and coach a team of HR professionals to ensure high-quality service and support to colleagues.
  12. Develop and maintain effective relationships with labor unions, if applicable.
  13. Partner with legal counsel as needed to address legal issues related to labor and employee relations.
  14. Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in handling all employee relations matters.
  15. Contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization through effective leadership and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Labor Laws And Regulations: A Qualified Senior Manager In Colleague And Labor Relations At Bloomingdale's Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Labor Laws And Regulations, Including Policies Related To Wages, Hours, Discrimination, And Employee Rights.

  • Strong Experience In Labor Relations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Labor Relations, Preferably In A Retail Or Similar Industry. This Experience Should Include Managing Collective Bargaining Agreements, Handling Grievances And Disputes, And Negotiating With Unions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Manager In Colleague And Labor Relations, The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships With Both Employees And Union Representatives Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Resolve Conflicts And Build Consensus.

  • Proven Track Record Of Managing Labor-Related Issues: Bloomingdale's Is Looking For A Candidate With A History Of Successfully Managing Labor-Related Issues, Such As Union Organizing Campaigns, Strikes, And Contract Negotiations. The Candidate Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Difficult Situations And Find Effective Solutions.

  • Strategic Thinking And Decision-Making Abilities: The Role Of A Senior Manager In Colleague And Labor Relations At Bloomingdale's Requires Someone Who Can Think Strategically And Make Informed Decisions.
