Welcome to the team at Bloomingdale's! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our receiving department as a Support Associate. As a Support Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of merchandise through our store.   1. Receive and process incoming merchandise, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Organize and maintain inventory in the receiving department.
  3. Assist in unloading and unpacking merchandise shipments.
  4. Inspect merchandise for quality and report any damages or discrepancies.
  5. Communicate with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of merchandise.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  7. Prepare merchandise for display on the sales floor.
  8. Assist customers with locating and retrieving merchandise.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  10. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  11. Collaborate with team members to achieve department and store goals.
  12. Stay updated on product knowledge and store policies to effectively assist customers.
  13. Adhere to company standards and procedures.
  14. Complete tasks in a timely manner and meet productivity goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: A Receiving Support Associate At Bloomingdale's Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively. This Includes Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records, Tracking Shipments, And Coordinating With Other Departments.

  • Strong Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In The Receiving Process, As Any Errors Can Result In Delays Or Discrepancies In Inventory. A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Any Discrepancies Or Issues With Incoming Merchandise.

  • Physical Stamina: This Role May Involve Frequent Lifting And Moving Of Heavy Boxes And Merchandise, So Physical Stamina Is Important. Candidates Should Be Able To Stand, Walk, And Lift For Extended Periods Of Time.

  • Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems: Bloomingdale's Uses Advanced Inventory Management Systems, So Experience With These Systems Is A Plus. Candidates Should Also Have Basic Computer Skills And Be Comfortable Learning New Software.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Receiving Support Associate Works Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As Vendors And Other Departments Within The Store. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Necessary For Effective Collaboration And Problem-Solving.
