- Receive and process incoming merchandise from vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify the accuracy of shipment contents and communicate any discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Prepare merchandise for placement on the sales floor, including tagging and labeling.
- Collaborate with Sales Associates to ensure merchandise is properly stocked and displayed on the sales floor.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, sales associates, and management regarding inventory and merchandise needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for receiving and handling merchandise.
- Continuously monitor and report on inventory levels and assist with ordering replenishment when necessary.
- Assist in the processing of returns and exchanges.
- Proactively identify and report any issues or concerns with merchandise to management.
- Uphold the Bloomingdale's standards of customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on product knowledge and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by assisting with tasks outside of designated responsibilities when needed.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: A Strong Understanding Of Receiving Processes And Procedures Is Essential For A Receiving Support Associate At Bloomingdale's. Previous Experience In A Receiving Or Warehouse Environment Will Demonstrate The Ability To Handle Inventory And Manage Shipments Effectively.
