- Accurately display and maintain merchandise according to Bloomingdale's standards.
- Ensure that all merchandise is organized and easily accessible for customers.
- Regularly monitor and restock merchandise to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with other team members to create visually appealing displays and maintain store aesthetics.
- Receive and process new merchandise shipments, including unpacking, tagging, and entering into inventory system.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any merchandise issues or concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with finding specific items.
- Utilize knowledge of current fashion trends and Bloomingdale's product offerings to make merchandise recommendations to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including backstock areas and display shelves.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in merchandising processes and procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management.
- Uphold Bloomingdale's high standards of professionalism, customer service, and brand representation at all times.
Strong Knowledge Of Fashion Trends And Merchandising Principles: A Successful Merchandising Support Associate At Bloomingdale's Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends And Merchandising Principles In Order To Effectively Assist The Merchandising Team In Creating Visually Appealing Displays And Product Assortments.
Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment. A Merchandising Support Associate Should Be Highly Organized And Able To Meet Tight Deadlines While Maintaining Attention To Detail.
Experience With Visual Merchandising And Store Layout: A Strong Candidate For This Position Should Have Previous Experience In Visual Merchandising And Store Layout, As They Will Be Responsible For Helping To Create And Maintain Appealing Displays And Store Layouts That Drive Sales.
Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Support Role, A Merchandising Support Associate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Various Teams, Including Buyers, Sales Associates, And Management. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Crucial For Collaborating With Team Members And Providing Excellent Customer Service.
Flexibility And Adaptability: Working In A Retail Environment Can Be Unpredictable, And A Successful Merchandising Support Associate Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Priorities And Work Schedules. Flexibility Is Also Important In Assisting With Unexpected Tasks Or Projects That May Arise.
