Job Description

Hello! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Manager of Sales for our Contemporary/Shoes department at Bloomingdale's. As a leader in the fashion and retail industry, we are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, has a strong eye for trend and style, and has a proven track record of success in driving sales and managing a team.   1. Develop and implement sales strategies and goals for the Contemporary/Shoes department in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  2. Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to drive sales growth.
  3. Create and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners in the contemporary and shoe market to ensure optimal product selection and availability.
  4. Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to help them achieve individual and departmental sales targets.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market demands, and customer preferences in the contemporary and shoe market to make informed merchandising and sales decisions.
  6. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a cohesive and seamless shopping experience for customers.
  7. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and work with the buying team to ensure proper stock levels and timely replenishment.
  9. Plan and execute promotional events and sales initiatives to drive traffic and increase sales.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional work environment, leading by example and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Sales Experience: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Possess At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Sales, Preferably In The Contemporary/Shoes Department. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets, As Well As Experience In Managing A Sales Team.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Manager, Sales At Bloomingdale's, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Effectively Communicating With Both Customers And Team Members. They Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Convey Product Information And Sales Strategies To Their Team, As Well As To Build Relationships With Customers.

  • Leadership And Team Management: This Position Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Motivate And Guide The Sales Team In Achieving Their Goals. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing A Team And Possess The Ability To Provide Constructive Feedback, Delegate Tasks, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Product Knowledge: A Thorough Understanding Of The Contemporary And Shoes Market, Including Trends, Customer Preferences, And Competitors' Products, Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Passion For Fashion And A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That The Department Is Curated With The Latest And Most Desirable Products.

  • Customer Service Orientation: Bloomingdale's Prides Itself On Providing Exceptional Customer Service, And The Manager, Sales Should Embody This Value.
