- Assist in the daily operations of the cosmetics department, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
- Communicate effectively with cosmetic vendors and Bloomingdale's team members to ensure proper stock levels, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, locating items, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Keep track of sales and inventory data and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cosmetics department, including restocking shelves, cleaning displays, and following sanitation protocols.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating events and promotions within the cosmetics department.
- Conduct product training and demonstrations for new team members and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaborate with the store's beauty team to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitor strategies to make recommendations for improvements and drive sales.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the cosmetics department.
Experience In The Cosmetics Industry: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Cosmetics Industry, Preferably In A Retail Or Department Store Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Popular Beauty Brands, Products, And Trends.
Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Cosmetics Operating Assistant, One Of The Main Responsibilities Will Be Interacting With Customers And Providing Them With Product Recommendations And Assistance. Therefore, Having Excellent Customer Service Skills, Such As Being Friendly, Approachable, And Knowledgeable, Is Crucial For This Role.
Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: This Position Requires The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once, Such As Managing Inventory, Restocking Shelves, And Assisting Customers.
