- Oversee the daily operations of the cosmetics counter, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Drive sales by setting and meeting sales targets, implementing promotional strategies, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing any concerns or complaints, and ensuring a positive and welcoming shopping experience.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of cosmetics associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, techniques, and brand standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all products are displayed and stocked appropriately.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as merchandising and marketing, to develop and execute cohesive plans and strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and competitor activities, and utilize this knowledge to make informed business decisions.
- Manage and track sales performance, analyze data to identify trends and opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Foster a positive and motivational work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.
- Plan and execute special events and promotions to increase footfall and drive sales.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing counter and work area.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and budget management.
- Represent Bloomingdale's and the cosmetics department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Strong Sales Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Environment, Preferably In The Cosmetics Industry. They Should Have A Demonstrated Track Record Of Achieving Sales Targets And Driving Revenue Growth.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Counter Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Beauty Advisors And Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Success In This Role.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Cosmetics Products: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cosmetics Products, Including Skincare, Makeup, And Fragrance. They Should Be Able To Educate And Guide Customers On Product Features, Benefits, And Usage.
Team Leadership Abilities: As A Counter Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Hiring, Training, And Managing A Team Of Beauty Advisors. They Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Motivate And Inspire Their Team To Achieve Sales Goals.
