  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Biola University's research goals, policies, and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify potential funding opportunities and assist in the development of grant proposals.
  3. Manage the full life cycle of grants, from initial application to final reporting, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements.
  4. Serve as a liaison between Biola University and funding agencies, maintaining professional and effective communication.
  5. Monitor grant budgets and ensure appropriate allocation of funds, working closely with the Finance department.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of all grant-related activities, including proposal submissions, award notices, and progress reports.
  7. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on funding trends and opportunities in order to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  8. Collaborate with various departments and individuals across the university to facilitate interdisciplinary research projects.
  9. Participate in grant-related meetings, workshops, and trainings to stay informed and improve grant management processes.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve grant management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Act as a resource and provide guidance to faculty and staff on grant-related matters.
  12. Adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive grant-related information.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the research community at Biola University.
  14. Represent Biola University at conferences and events related to grant management and research funding.
  15. Uphold the university's mission and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business, Communications, Or Education.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Grant Writing And/Or Project Coordination, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Information To A Variety Of Audiences.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Meet Tight Deadlines And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Knowledge Of Grant Funding Processes And Regulations, Including Experience With Federal And Private Funding Sources.
