Job Description

Develop a 5-year strategic plan for the Office of Gift Planning that aligns with demographic data (i.e. the aging of America, wealth transfer, and policy changes), market demands, changes/modifications to applicable tax law and the financial needs and vision of the University. Gift Planning should play a strategic role in the coming Phase II comprehensive campaign. It is expected that the Senior Director will manage his or her own portfolio and will follow the same moves-management protocol with respect to actions, proposals, asks, etc. Serve as the bridge between Advancement and the Trust, Investment, & Estate Services (TIES) department in all matters regarding gift planning and execution. As on campus Estate Services phase out, the Senior Director of Gift Planning would serve as a point person for outsourcing fiduciary services to assist with estates where Biola has legal obligations.

Job Qualifications

  • Desire to collaborate with a vast number of different professionals and personality types.

  • Ability to create longstanding relationships with donors and advisors.

  • 10 or more years direct Planned Giving experience will be considered.

  • Preferred experience includes knowledge of tax law, anti-discrimination law, and contract review.

Compensation
