
Collections Specialist
Responsible for the entire collection process on former student delinquent accounts including account notices, telephone calls/emails, skip-tracing, credit bureau reporting and assignment to collection agencies. Serve as point of contact for students and parents regarding their inactive tuition accounts; negotiate payment arrangements; authorize release of diplomas when appropriate. Monitor all inactive student credit balances and issue refunds when appropriate; work closely with Financial Aid to ensure aid reversals are processed when necessary. Work closely with collection agencies; reconcile monthly agency payments; monitor monthly agency reports and performance. Counsel students during the enrollment process and at other times as appointed by the Director of Student Account Services, developing financial plans and agreements with students based on their ability to pay. Assist in other projects as assigned by the Director of Student Account Services.
Two years experience in collections or similar work.
Experience and training in accounts receivable collections highly desired.
