Special Imaging Patient Transport

At Billings Clinic, we are seeking an experienced and patient-centered individual to join our Special Imaging Patient Transport team. The primary responsibility of this role is to transport patients from their current location to the Special Imaging Department for their scheduled procedure. The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing excellent patient care and must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment.We are looking for an individual who is compassionate and has a strong understanding of patient privacy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate with team members, patients, and families. The Special Imaging Patient Transport must have an understanding of medical terminology and be able to read and comprehend orders from the Radiology Department.The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with previous patient transport experience and a valid driver’s license. Being bilingual is an asset, but not required. Additionally, this position requires the ability to lift and move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

1. Transport patients from their current location to the Special Imaging Department for their scheduled procedure.
2. Provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
3. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
4. Collaborate with team members, patients, and families.
5. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and be able to read and comprehend orders from the Radiology Department.
6. Perform lifting and moving of patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.
7. Possess a valid driver’s license.
8. Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
9. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
10. Prior patient transport experience is preferred.
11. Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.
