
Registered Nurse - I/P Psychiatric Services

- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with mental health disorders.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' mental and physical health, and report any changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and treatment options.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
- Remain current on best practices and advancements in psychiatric care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Registered Nurse Working In An Inpatient Psychiatric Setting At Billings Clinic Is Expected To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Clinical Practice.
Current Rn License: Candidates Must Hold A Current Registered Nurse License From The State Of Montana In Order To Be Eligible For The Position. This License Ensures That The Nurse Has Met All State Requirements For Education And Practice.
Previous Psychiatric Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Psychiatric Setting, Preferably In An Inpatient Setting. This Experience Provides A Solid Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Their Treatment, As Well As The Unique Challenges And Skills Required For This Type Of Nursing.
Bls And/Or Acls Certification: The Registered Nurse Should Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And/Or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate The Nurse's Ability To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential. The Nurse Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And The Interdisciplinary Team, As Well As De-Escalate Potentially Volatile Situations.
