Welcome to Billings Clinic! We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Hospital's Inpatient Surgical unit. As a member of our dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.   1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Inpatient Surgical unit.
  2. Utilize excellent clinical skills and knowledge to assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the medical team.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
  7. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  8. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  9. Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in surgical care.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality and safe patient care.
  11. Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and supporting colleagues.
  13. Serve as a role model for exemplary nursing practice and professionalism.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of the hospital and promote a patient-centered approach to care.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation and be available for occasional overtime as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher: A Bsn Or Higher Level Of Education Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse Position At A Hospital Such As Billings Clinic. This Education Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Clinical Skills, And Leadership Abilities.

  • Active State Rn License: All Registered Nurses Must Hold An Active Rn License In The State Where They Are Practicing. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Requirements And Qualifications To Provide Safe And Competent Care To Patients.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Inpatient Surgical Experience: In Order To Be Qualified For A Registered Nurse Position At Billings Clinic, Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In An Inpatient Surgical Setting. This Experience Allows For A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures, Post-Operative Care, And Potential Complications.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: With The Increasing Use Of Electronic Medical Records In Healthcare, Knowledge And Proficiency In These Systems Is Essential For A Registered Nurse. Candidates Should Have Experience Using Emrs And Be Able To Quickly Adapt To New Systems.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Registered Nurse At Billings Clinic, Effective Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Crucial. Nurses Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members, As Well As Think Quickly And Critically In Emergency Situations.
