  1. Dispensing Medications: As a pharmacist in our Specialty Pharmacy, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications to patients with complex medical needs. This includes reviewing prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, and ensuring the appropriate dosage and instructions are provided.
  2. Patient Consultation: Our patients have complex medical needs, and it is crucial that they receive personalized care and support from our pharmacists. Your role will involve providing one-on-one consultations with patients to review their medications, answer any questions, and provide education on proper usage and potential side effects.
  3. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: As a part of our dynamic team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our patients. This may include discussing treatment plans, identifying potential drug interactions, and providing recommendations for medication adjustments.
  4. Maintain Pharmacy Standards: As a pharmacist, it is your responsibility to ensure that our Specialty Pharmacy is operating in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. This includes maintaining proper storage and handling of medications, keeping accurate records, and adhering to all safety protocols.
  5. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Our patients rely on our Specialty Pharmacy for their specialized medication needs, and it is essential that they receive exceptional customer service. You will be expected to communicate effectively with patients, demonstrate empathy and compassion, and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Stay Current with Developments in Pharmacy: As a highly skilled pharmacist, it is crucial that you stay up-to-date with new medication developments, advancements in treatment, and changes in regulations. You will be responsible for continuously expanding your knowledge and skills to provide the best care for our patients.
  7. Adhere to Quality Assurance Standards: At Billings Clinic, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a pharmacist, you will be expected to adhere to our quality assurance standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure that all medications are dispensed accurately

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharm.d.) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy

  • Current State Pharmacist License And Registration

  • Board Certification In A Specialty Area, Such As Oncology, Pediatrics, Or Geriatrics

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Specialty Pharmacy Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Specialty Medications, Insurance Coverage, And Reimbursement Processes
