- Oversee all aspects of the Flight & Ground EMS Operations department, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of emergency medical services.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with external partners, such as EMS agencies and transportation providers.
- Monitor and analyze data related to the department's performance, and use it to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and equipment.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on departmental activities, successes, and challenges.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in emergency medical services, and incorporate them into the department's operations.
- Handle any issues or concerns related to the department, including patient complaints and staff conflicts, in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Represent the department and organization at conferences, events, and other public forums.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions, both within and outside of the organization.
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership team to align departmental goals with the overall organizational mission and vision.
Extensive Experience In Flight And Ground Ems Operations: The Executive Director Should Have A Strong Background In Emergency Medical Services, With A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Both Flight And Ground Operations. This Includes Experience In Managing And Leading A Team Of Ems Professionals.
Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Best Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Regulations And Guidelines Governing Flight And Ground Ems Operations, Such As Faa Regulations, State Ems Regulations, And National Ems Scope Of Practice Model. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Be Able To Implement Them Within The Organization.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As The Top Executive Of The Department, The Executive Director Should Possess Exceptional Leadership And Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Set Strategic Direction, Manage Budgets, And Build And Maintain Relationships With Stakeholders, Including Healthcare Providers, Government Agencies, And Community Organizations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Executive Director Will Be Responsible For Communicating With A Wide Range Of Individuals, Including Staff, Patients, And External Partners. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Build Relationships.
Advanced Degree In Healthcare Or Business Administration: A Master's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Level Of Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage A Complex Healthcare Organization Like Billings Clinic.
