  1. Perform accurate and timely electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients as requested by healthcare providers.
  2. Prepare patients for EKG procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
  3. Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly before each use.
  4. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities or concerns to the healthcare provider.
  5. Document and maintain accurate records of all EKG tests performed.
  6. Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  9. Provide excellent patient care and customer service, ensuring a positive experience for each patient.
  10. Assist healthcare providers in interpreting EKG results and communicating findings to patients.
  11. Stay up-to-date with advancements in EKG technology and techniques.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide coordinated and efficient patient care.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  14. Attend training and educational sessions as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Ekg Technician Training Program Or Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society Of Phlebotomy Technicians (Aspt) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Demonstrated Proficiency In Performing Electrocardiograms (Ekgs) And Other Cardiovascular Diagnostic Tests, Such As Holter Monitoring And Stress Testing.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Cardiovascular Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As Common Cardiac Diseases And Disorders.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology And The Ability To Accurately Document And Report Test Results.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members In A Fast-Paced Clinical Environment.
