We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Critical Care Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise to promote the growth and development of our critical care nursing staff.   1. Develop and implement training programs and educational opportunities for critical care nursing staff.
  2. Provide guidance and mentorship to new and experienced critical care nurses.
  3. Evaluate and assess the educational needs of the critical care nursing staff.
  4. Collaborate with the nursing leadership team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance critical care nursing practice.
  5. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in critical care nursing to inform training and development initiatives.
  6. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other learning activities to enhance the knowledge and skills of critical care nurses.
  7. Monitor and track the progress and effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
  8. Serve as a resource and expert on critical care nursing practices and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure interdisciplinary education and training.
  10. Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new critical care nurses.
  11. Serve as a role model for professional development and continuous learning.
  12. Maintain accurate and thorough records of training and education provided.
  13. Develop and maintain positive relationships with critical care nursing staff and promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to educational programs and professional development.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the professional development program for critical care nursing staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: The First Qualification For A Critical Care Nursing Professional Development Practitioner At Billings Clinic Is A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Clinical Skills, And Evidence-Based Practice, Which Are Essential For This Role.

  • Current Rn Licensure: A Valid And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is Another Important Qualification For This Job. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice Nursing And Is Up-To-Date With The Latest Nursing Standards And Regulations.

  • Critical Care Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Job Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting. This Experience Will Provide Them With The Necessary Clinical Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Educate And Mentor Nurses In The Critical Care Unit.

  • Certification In Professional Development: A Certification In Professional Development, Such As The Certified Nurse Educator (Cne) Or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (Chse), Is Highly Preferred For This Role. This Certification Demonstrates The Individual's Commitment To Excellence In Nursing Education And Professional Development.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Professional Development Practitioner, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing Educational Programs, As Well As Providing Mentorship And Guidance To Nurses. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role To Effectively Collaborate With Various Healthcare Professionals And Drive Positive Change In The Critical Care Unit.
