Appointment Representative/Scheduling

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in healthcare scheduling, medical reception, or customer service. You must also be proficient in customer service software such as EPIC, and possess a thorough knowledge of medical terminology. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is also essential. We are seeking an individual with a professional and friendly demeanor, who is comfortable working in a team environment and has the ability to maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and assess their needs in a courteous and professional manner.
2. Schedule appointments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all patient information prior to scheduling.
4. Provide accurate and timely updates to patient information systems.
5. Remain current on all relevant healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
6. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, staff, and patients.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality.
8. Monitor and manage patient waitlists.
9. Troubleshoot any issues that arise.
10. Assist with other duties as assigned.
