Big Lots is looking for a Senior Data Analyst - Transportation to join our team, and help us drive smarter decisions in the transportation industry. We're looking for an analytical individual with a passion for data and a knack for problem-solving. If you're looking to work with a team that's passionate about data and making a difference, this position is for you.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, transportation, or a related field; 5+ years of experience with data analytics, preferably in the transportation industry; proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other data analysis software; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and a proven track record of using data to make informed decisions.If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret data related to the transportation industry using Excel, SQL, and other data analysis software.
Develop and maintain data models to support informed decisions in the transportation industry.
Produce reports and summaries of data to present to stakeholders.
Identify trends and relationships in data to create strategies for improving operations.
Work closely with other departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Monitor industry trends and changes to ensure data accuracy.
Develop and recommend strategies for optimizing operational efficiency.
Stay up-to-date on best practices in data analysis and industry trends.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute data-driven initiatives.
Provide training and support to team members on data analysis software and processes.
