Job Description

We’re looking for a talented and driven Senior Allocation Analyst to join our team at Big Lots. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation process and making sure that our products are available in the right quantities and at the right times in both retail stores and e-commerce websites. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of data analytics, forecasting methods, and inventory management.To be successful as a Senior Allocation Analyst at Big Lots, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. You must also have at least 5 years of experience in a related role, working with SKU/UPC data and inventory planning. Additionally, you must be highly organized and able to work cross-functionally with a variety of teams. Responsibilities of a Senior Allocation Analyst include:

Oversee the allocation process for all products across retail stores and e-commerce websites.
Utilize data analytics, forecasting methods, and inventory management to ensure products are available in the right quantities and at the right times.
Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Analyze SKU/UPC data and inventory planning to make informed decisions.
Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels while mitigating out-of-stocks.
Monitor and evaluate inventory performance to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Determine key performance metrics and create reports to present to senior management.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any allocation-related issues.
