Greet and welcome customers to the store in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, locating products, and resolving any issues or concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized store environment by regularly performing tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and cleaning designated areas.
Contribute to the success of the company by meeting sales goals and promoting products and promotions.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic at all times.
Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
Continuously update product knowledge to assist customers with their purchases.
Perform cashier duties, including handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise as needed.
Proactively identify and report any maintenance or safety issues in the store.
Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and regulations.
Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by arriving to work on time and completing assigned tasks within designated time frames.

Exceptional Customer Service Skills: The Ability To Provide Excellent Customer Service Is A Must For Any Retail Store Associate And Stocker At Big Lots. This Includes Greeting Customers, Assisting With Inquiries, And Ensuring A Positive Shopping Experience.
Strong Communication Skills: Retail Store Associates And Stockers Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Team Members, And Management. This Includes Listening Actively, Conveying Information Clearly, And Resolving Conflicts.
Attention To Detail: As A Stocker, It Is Important To Accurately And Efficiently Restock Shelves, Organize Merchandise, And Maintain Inventory Levels. Retail Store Associates Must Also Pay Attention To Detail When Working The Cash Register, Ensuring Accurate Transactions And Proper Cash Handling Procedures.
Physical Stamina: This Job Requires Standing, Walking, And Bending For Long Periods Of Time. Retail Store Associates And Stockers Must Also Be Able To Lift And Carry Heavy Items, Such As Boxes And Furniture, On A Regular Basis.
Teamwork And Collaboration: At Big Lots, Teamwork And Collaboration Are Essential For A Successful Store. Retail Store Associates And Stockers Must Be Able To Work Well With Others, Take Direction From Managers, And Contribute To A Positive And Productive Work Environment.
