The Retail Store Associate role at Big Lots is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to multi-task, the desire to learn, and the willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.The successful candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well both independently and collaboratively, and have a friendly and outgoing personality. A minimum of one year of retail experience is required, and any prior experience in customer service or sales will be considered a plus. Additionally, a basic knowledge of retail store operations and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of customer service is essential. Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience for customers • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner • Assist customers in finding items and providing information about products • Maintain a clean and organized store environment • Process sales transactions quickly and accurately • Handle returns and exchanges in a timely and courteous manner • Monitor stock levels and restock shelves as needed • Adhere to all safety and security protocols • Follow store policies and procedures • Monitor and address any customer complaints or issues • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
