Job Description

Big Lots is looking for a Retail Store Associate to join our team! We are looking for an energetic, customer-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. As a Retail Store Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchasing decisions while ensuring that our store is kept clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The following qualifications are required: • High school diploma or equivalent• Previous retail experience preferred • Ability to operate a cash register and other store equipment • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds• Excellent customer service skills If you are someone who loves helping people, is excited to learn new things, and enjoys being part of a team, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities: • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service • Assist customers with their purchasing decisions • Operate a cash register and other store equipment • Maintain a clean and organized store • Stock shelves and rotate stock as needed • Answer customer inquiries and provide product information • Process returns and exchanges • Ensure store security and adhere to safety protocols • Monitor customer activity and respond to potential incidents • Assist with store inventory management • Follow store policies and procedures • Other duties as assigned
