Job Description

We are looking for an energetic Lead Support Associate to join our dynamic team at Big Lots. As a Lead Support Associate, you have the chance to help shape our company by providing exceptional customer service and leading our team of support associates. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping customers, and a knowledge of our company policies. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience as a support associate in a retail setting, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition to this, you should have strong leadership skills, as well as an ability to work under pressure and handle difficult customer situations with a professional demeanor. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers in person and over the phone.
  2. Lead and manage a team of support associates, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  3. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to manage difficult customer situations.
  4. Ensure that company policies are followed and that customer service standards are met.
  5. Maintain a professional demeanor and work under pressure.
  6. Create training materials and provide onboarding to new support associates.
  7. Monitor support associate performance and provide feedback as needed.
  8. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  9. Track customer service metrics and ensure that customer service goals are met.
