Job Description

Welcome to the Big Lots team! We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Support Associate to join our dynamic and growing company. As a Lead Support Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, supervising and guiding a team of associates, and ensuring the smooth operations of our store. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering top-notch service and has a strong understanding of retail operations.   1. Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and ensure their needs are met.
  2. Supervise and guide a team of associates to ensure they are following company policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.
  4. Assist in training new associates on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations of the store.
  6. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  7. Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both customers and associates.
  8. Ensure proper inventory management and assist in restocking and merchandising.
  9. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and company policies.
  10. Lead by example and uphold the company's values and standards.
  11. Monitor and track associate performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  12. Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all associates and customers.
  13. Assist in scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  14. Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve customer service and store operations.
  16. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Lead Support Associate Should Have Experience Leading And Directing A Team Of Support Staff To Ensure Efficient Operations And Productivity.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Effective Communication With Team Members, As Well As Customers And Other Departments Within The Company.

  • Organizational Skills: The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Responsibilities Is Crucial In A Lead Support Associate Role. This Includes Creating Schedules, Tracking Inventory, And Maintaining A Clean And Organized Work Environment.

  • Retail Experience: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Customer Service, Inventory Management, And Sales Strategies.
