As a Lead Support Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience and our store runs smoothly.   1. Supervise and lead a team of support associates to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
  2. Train and mentor new support associates to ensure they are knowledgeable about company policies and procedures.
  3. Handle complex customer inquiries and complaints, finding effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Monitor and maintain store operations, including inventory management, stock levels, and overall store appearance.
  5. Act as a liaison between store management and support associates, communicating any necessary updates or changes.
  6. Create and maintain schedules for support associates, ensuring adequate coverage during peak business hours.
  7. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to support associates, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing exceptional work.
  8. Assist in resolving any technical or operational issues that may arise in the store.
  9. Collaborate with other store departments to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  10. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to effectively assist customers and support associates.
  11. Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
  12. Adhere to all safety and security procedures to protect customers, employees, and company assets.
  13. Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to store management.
  14. Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new support associates as needed.
  15. Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company in a positive light at all times.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Support Associate, You Will Be Responsible For Overseeing And Guiding A Team Of Support Associates. Therefore, Having Strong Leadership Skills, Such As The Ability To Delegate Tasks And Provide Guidance, Is Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Lead Support Associate Will Need To Effectively Communicate With Both Team Members And Management. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Delivering Feedback, And Resolving Conflicts In A Professional Manner.

  • Organizational And Time Management Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Time Effectively In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment. The Lead Support Associate Should Be Able To Multitask And Handle Multiple Responsibilities While Maintaining Attention To Detail.

  • Previous Retail Experience: Big Lots Is A Retail Store, And Experience In A Similar Environment Is Highly Preferred For This Role. Familiarity With Store Operations, Customer Service, And Inventory Management Will Be Beneficial In Performing The Duties Of A Lead Support Associate.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: As A Lead Support Associate, You Will Be Responsible For Handling Any Issues That May Arise, Such As Customer Complaints Or Inventory Discrepancies. The Ability To Think Critically And Come Up With Effective Solutions In A Timely Manner Is Crucial For This Position.
