Information Security Architect

At Big Lots, we are looking for an experienced Information Security Architect to join our team of innovative professionals. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of security protocols and architecture, as well as the experience to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant. We are looking for someone who is passionate about information security and has the drive to keep our systems safe.The successful Information Security Architect will be able to design, develop, and maintain secure systems and networks for Big Lots. They will need to have a deep understanding of security protocols and architecture, and they will need to be able to troubleshoot and mitigate potential security threats. They will also need to have the ability to create and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect our data and systems. The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator and be able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additionally, you must have at least 5 years of experience in information security, and you must be certified in one or more security frameworks (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.). It is also preferred that you have experience with cloud security, DevOps, and automation tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain secure systems and networks for Big Lots
2. Troubleshoot and mitigate potential security threats
3. Create and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect our data and systems
4. Communicate effectively and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
5. Monitor security trends and threats and recommend security enhancements
6. Keep up to date with security policies and regulations
7. Train staff on security topics and best practices
8. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
9. Maintain documentation of security systems and processes
10. Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations
