Job Description

Responsible for the supervision of third-party co-sourcing partners and/or certain indirect tax team members including goal setting, training, succession development and performance management. Reviews, prepares or approves indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Return types include sales & use, property, ad valorem, business license, unclaimed property and annual reports. Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and maintenance. Reviews and applies federal, state and local statutes to corporate transactions and products. Assists with the preparation of annual indirect tax budgets. Supports corporate initiatives impacting the indirect tax applications and processes. Oversees indirect tax collection, compliance and audits, reviewing and approving retail product taxability assignments, intercompany movements, transactional analysis, unclaimed property liabilities, reporting and reconciliations. Reviews, prepares or approves monthly account reconciliations.

Job Qualifications

Minimum four years of indirect tax experience required.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience using Vertex O Series a plus.
Supports and contributes to corporate initiatives.
