We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Furniture Sales Lead. As a Furniture Sales Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our customers' lives by providing exceptional service and helping them find the perfect furniture pieces to complete their home. We are looking for someone who is passionate about furniture and sales, has excellent communication and leadership skills, and is able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.   1. Greet and welcome customers to the furniture department in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Understand and communicate the Big Lots brand and values to customers.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate furniture solutions.
  4. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Big Lots furniture products, including features, benefits, and pricing.
  5. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and department sales targets.
  6. Train and coach sales associates on effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies for increasing sales.
  8. Ensure the furniture department is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  9. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer information.
  13. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitors' products and pricing.
  14. Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company updates and sales techniques.
  15. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  16. Meet personal and team sales goals on a consistent basis.
  17. Continuously strive to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
  18. Act as a role model for sales associates by demonstrating exceptional customer service and sales techniques.
  19. Assist with tasks such as merchandising, pricing, and inventory management as needed.
  20. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by fostering teamwork and open communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Sales Experience: A Furniture Sales Lead At Big Lots Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Environment, With A Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Goals.

  • Knowledge Of Furniture Products: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Furniture, Materials, And Styles, As Well As Be Able To Effectively Communicate This Information To Customers.

  • Team Leadership Skills: As A Lead Role, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Motivating A Team Of Sales Associates, As Well As Delegating Tasks And Ensuring The Overall Success Of The Sales Team.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Furniture Sales Lead Should Have Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service And Build Lasting Relationships With Customers.
