We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Furniture Sales Lead. As a Furniture Sales Lead, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with customers and help them find the perfect pieces to complete their home. We are looking for someone who is passionate about furniture, has strong sales skills, and is a natural leader.   1. Greet and welcome customers to the store in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers' needs and offering solutions.
  3. Develop a strong knowledge of Big Lots furniture products and offerings to effectively assist customers.
  4. Lead and motivate a team of furniture sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  5. Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers by maintaining a clean and organized furniture department.
  6. Utilize sales techniques and strategies to increase furniture sales and meet or exceed sales goals.
  7. Act as a role model for the sales team by demonstrating exceptional customer service and sales skills.
  8. Train and coach new furniture sales associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  9. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement sales strategies to drive furniture sales.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events.
  11. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Coordinate with inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels and replenishment of furniture products.
  13. Stay informed about industry trends and new furniture products to make recommendations to customers.
  14. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  15. Contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment by fostering open communication and teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Furniture Sales: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Selling Furniture, Preferably In A Retail Environment. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Sales Process, Understands Customer Needs, And Is Comfortable With Handling Different Types Of Furniture.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Furniture Sales Lead, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building Relationships With Customers, Communicating Product Information, And Resolving Any Issues Or Concerns. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Furniture Products And Trends: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Furniture Products, Including Different Styles, Materials, And Features. They Should Also Be Aware Of Current Furniture Trends And Be Able To Make Recommendations To Customers Based On Their Needs And Preferences.

  • Leadership Abilities: The Furniture Sales Lead Will Be Responsible For Managing And Training A Team Of Sales Associates. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Motivate And Guide Their Team To Achieve Sales Targets.

  • Customer Service Orientation: Providing Excellent Customer Service Is Essential In The Retail Industry, And Even More So In Furniture Sales. The Candidate Should Have A Customer-Centric Approach, Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations, And Ensure That Every Customer Has A Positive Experience At Big Lots.
