As the Furniture Sales Lead, you will be responsible for leading the furniture sales team and ensuring exceptional customer service and sales results.   1. Lead and manage the furniture sales team to achieve sales goals and targets.
  2. Train and develop team members to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
  3. Create and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  4. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  6. Play a key role in setting up and merchandising the furniture showroom to attract customers and drive sales.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  8. Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory, to ensure adequate stock levels and product availability.
  10. Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer information.
  11. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  12. Assist in the hiring and training of new furniture sales team members.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including pricing, discounting, and return policies.
  14. Attend and participate in sales meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company updates and promotions.
  15. Continuously strive to improve sales processes, customer satisfaction, and overall performance of the furniture department.

Job Qualifications
  • Proven Sales Experience: A Qualified Furniture Sales Lead Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Role, Preferably In Furniture Or Home Goods.

  • Strong Product Knowledge: Candidates Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Different Types Of Furniture, Including Materials, Styles, And Trends. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Assist Customers And Make Recommendations.

  • Leadership Skills: The Sales Lead Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Sales Associates, So They Should Possess Strong Leadership And Interpersonal Skills. Experience In A Supervisory Role Is Preferred.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In Sales, And The Furniture Sales Lead Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Confidently With Customers, Colleagues, And Management.

  • Customer Service Oriented: Big Lots Values Providing Exceptional Customer Service, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Customer-Centric Mindset With A Strong Focus On Building And Maintaining Relationships With Customers. Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role Is A Plus.
