Develop and maintain front-end code for Big Lots' online platforms, including website and mobile app.
Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end code with visual designs and server-side functionality.
Optimize website and app performance to ensure a fast and user-friendly experience for customers.
Conduct regular testing and debugging to identify and fix any issues or bugs in front-end code.
Stay up-to-date with current industry trends and best practices in front-end development, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and implement new features and updates to the website and app.
Ensure that all front-end code is properly documented and maintain coding standards.
Optimize website and app for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve visibility and drive traffic.
Continuously monitor website and app analytics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise on the website or app.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and track their success.
Participate in regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
Provide technical support to other team members and assist in training new team members as needed.
Act as a brand ambassador for Big Lots, ensuring that the front-end development aligns with the company's brand and values.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practices with the team.

Job Qualifications

Proficiency In Html, Css, And Javascript: A Front End Engineer At Big Lots Should Possess Strong Skills In These Foundational Web Development Languages To Create Visually Appealing And Responsive Designs.
Experience With Front End Frameworks: Knowledge Of Popular Front End Frameworks Such As React, Angular, Or Vue Is Essential For Building Dynamic And Interactive User Interfaces.
Understanding Of Cross-Browser Compatibility: Big Lots Has A Wide Customer Base, And A Front End Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Cross-Browser Compatibility To Ensure A Seamless Experience For All Users.
Knowledge Of Ux Design Principles: A Front End Engineer Should Have A Good Understanding Of Ux Design Principles And Be Able To Translate Wireframes And Mockups Into Functional And User-Friendly Interfaces.
