Oversee the timely and accurate processing of freight to ensure merchandise is ready to be sold on the sales floor.
Lead and manage a team of freight processors to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Train and develop team members to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
Maintain inventory accuracy by regularly conducting audits and resolving discrepancies.
Communicate with other departments to coordinate and prioritize freight processing needs.
Monitor and track productivity levels to meet daily processing goals.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Troubleshoot any issues or delays in the freight processing process.
Provide exceptional customer service by quickly responding to any requests or inquiries related to freight processing.
Collaborate with management to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
Regularly review and update procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and accurate freight processing.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to budgetary guidelines and assist in managing expenses related to freight processing.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve freight processing operations.

Job Qualifications

Previous Experience In Freight Processing: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Freight Processing, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Shipping And Receiving Procedures, Inventory Management, And Handling Of Merchandise.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Freight Processing Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Freight Processors. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Direction And Guidance, And Resolve Conflicts Effectively.
Attention To Detail: Freight Processing Requires Careful Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Receiving, Sorting, And Storing Merchandise. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Identify And Correct Any Discrepancies In The Freight Process.
Physical Stamina: This Role May Involve Heavy Lifting, Standing For Extended Periods, And Other Physically Demanding Tasks. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job To Ensure Efficient And Timely Processing Of Merchandise.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Freight Processing Lead Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, As Well As Other Departments And Management. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential To Ensure Clear And Accurate Communication Throughout The Freight Processing Process.
