Oversee the freight processing department and ensure all merchandise is received, processed, and organized in a timely and efficient manner.
Lead and develop a team of freight processors, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and work with management to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed during the processing and handling of merchandise.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure merchandise is in the right location and available for customers.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing merchandise, including verifying counts and quality of products.
Assist with scheduling and assigning tasks to team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure a coordinated and cohesive workflow.
Identify and troubleshoot any issues or obstacles in the freight processing process, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by the team.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and pleasant working environment.
Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive work culture.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for process enhancements.
Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

Experience In Freight Processing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Freight Processing, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Receiving, Sorting, And Organizing Incoming Merchandise.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Freight Processing Lead, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Freight Processors. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills, Such As The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Effectively Communicate With Team Members.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy And Attention To Detail Are Crucial In Freight Processing To Ensure That All Products Are Received, Sorted, And Placed Accurately In The Store. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Discrepancies Or Errors In Shipments.
Physical Stamina: Freight Processing Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Candidate To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes And Merchandise. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have The Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks Efficiently And Safely.
Organizational Skills: The Freight Processing Lead Will Be Responsible For Managing The Flow Of Merchandise In And Out Of The Store. They Should Have Strong Organizational Skills To Ensure That All Products Are Received, Sorted, And Stocked In A Timely And Efficient Manner.
