As the Freight Processing Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our merchandise is received, processed, and stocked accurately and efficiently. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the freight processing department.
Ensure that all merchandise is received and processed accurately and efficiently.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of products for customers.
Train and supervise a team of freight processors, providing guidance and support as needed.
Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for receiving, processing, and stocking merchandise.
Collaborate with store management and other departments to ensure timely and accurate merchandise flow.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Monitor and report on productivity and performance of the freight processing team.
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies with incoming merchandise.
Continuously look for ways to improve and streamline the freight processing process.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Job Qualifications

Supervisory Experience: The Freight Processing Lead Should Have Prior Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Logistics Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Lead A Team And Effectively Delegate Tasks.
Strong Organizational Skills: The Freight Processing Lead Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Organization And Flow Of Merchandise In The Warehouse. They Should Have Strong Organization Skills To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Processing.
Knowledge Of Supply Chain And Logistics: A Thorough Understanding Of Supply Chain And Logistics Processes Is Essential For A Freight Processing Lead. This Includes Knowledge Of Shipping And Receiving Procedures, Inventory Management, And Warehouse Operations.
Physical Stamina: This Role May Require Heavy Lifting And Prolonged Periods Of Standing And Walking, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Physical Stamina And The Ability To Perform Manual Labor Tasks.
Attention To Detail: The Freight Processing Lead Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Quality Control In Processing Shipments. They Should Also Be Able To Identify And Resolve Any Discrepancies Or Issues That May Arise During The Process.
