Job Description

As the leader of our freight processing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing merchandise. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the freight processing team.
Coordinate with store management and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for handling freight, including unloading, sorting, and stocking.
Train and supervise team members on proper freight handling techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate product counts and tracking discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and vendors to resolve any issues or delays in the freight processing process.
Maintain a clean and organized freight processing area, adhering to company standards and safety regulations.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the freight processing process.
Manage and prioritize workload to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Assist in the hiring and training of new team members.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall success of the freight processing team.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Required For This Role To Ensure The Candidate Has The Necessary Communication, Math, And Problem-Solving Skills.
Prior Experience In Retail Or Warehouse Management: Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Setting, Is Highly Desirable. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Understanding Of Inventory Management, Team Leadership, And Working In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As A Freight Processing Lead, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Tasks, Prioritizing Workload, And Ensuring Timely Completion Of Freight Processing. Therefore, Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team: The Freight Processing Lead Will Be Responsible For Supervising And Training A Team Of Associates. Therefore, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Be Able To Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Daily Goals.
Knowledge Of Safety And Compliance Regulations: The Freight Processing Lead Must Have A Good Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Compliance Standards Related To Freight Handling. This Includes Proper Lifting Techniques, Equipment Operation, And Hazardous Material Handling. Knowledge Of Osha And Dot Regulations Is Also A Plus.
