As a leader in our freight processing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of merchandise to our stores.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the freight processing department.
  2. Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all incoming merchandise.
  3. Coordinate with vendors and distribution centers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise to stores.
  4. Supervise and train a team of freight processors, ensuring their adherence to company policies and procedures.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels in stores.
  6. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity within the department.
  7. Communicate with store managers and other departments to resolve any issues or concerns related to freight processing.
  8. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  10. Collaborate with other departments, such as merchandising and purchasing, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in freight processing to continuously improve processes.
  12. Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive attitude to motivate and inspire team members.
  13. Handle any escalated customer inquiries or complaints related to freight processing.
  14. Create and maintain reports on department performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and customer-oriented manner at all times.
