Oversee the processing and distribution of incoming freight, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to the sales floor.
Manage a team of freight processors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate processing of merchandise.
Monitor inventory levels and product availability to ensure the store is well-stocked at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, ensuring all merchandise is properly labeled, sorted, and stored.
Collaborate with store management to create and implement effective freight processing procedures and protocols.
Perform quality checks on incoming merchandise to ensure it meets company standards and report any discrepancies or damages.
Coordinate with vendors and other departments to ensure timely delivery and processing of merchandise.
Work closely with the sales team to identify and prioritize high-demand products and ensure their availability on the sales floor.
Utilize inventory management systems to track and monitor merchandise levels and assist with inventory audits as needed.
Adhere to all safety and security protocols while handling and processing merchandise.
Maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude while providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes within the freight processing department.
Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.

Job Qualifications

Experience In Freight Processing: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In Freight Processing, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Receiving, Sorting, And Organizing Merchandise, As Well As Managing Inventory Levels.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Freight Processing Lead, You Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Associates And Ensuring That All Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And Accurately. Therefore, Having Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Motivate And Guide A Team Is Essential.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Freight Processing, As Any Errors Can Lead To Inventory Discrepancies And Impact The Store's Profitability. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Spot Any Discrepancies Or Issues With Shipments.
Time Management Skills: The Freight Processing Lead Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Tasks And Deadlines, Including Receiving And Stocking Merchandise, Completing Paperwork, And Ensuring The Freight Area Is Clean And Organized. Strong Time Management Skills And The Ability To Prioritize Tasks Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Physical Stamina: This Role Requires Frequent Lifting And Carrying Of Heavy Items, As Well As Standing And Walking For Extended Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
