Freight Processing Lead

We’re looking for an ambitious and hardworking Freight Processing Lead to join our Big Lots team! As the Freight Processing Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the freight processing team and ensuring all freight shipments are accurately processed and delivered in a timely manner.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in freight processing or a related field, a strong work ethic, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. You must be able to multitask, prioritize duties, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.If you’re passionate about leading a team and have a knack for logistics and operations, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the freight processing team and ensure all freight shipments are accurately processed and delivered in a timely manner.
2. Lead team meetings and ensure all team members are up to date on tasks and progress.
3. Prioritize duties and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on-time.
4. Monitor all freight orders to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
5. Train and mentor new team members on freight processing procedures.
6. Develop and implement strategies to improve freight processing operations.
7. Work with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
8. Monitor overall freight processing performance and adjust operations to maximize efficiency.
9. Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure all shipments are delivered on time.
10. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
