  1. Oversee the overall performance and operations of multiple stores within the district.
  2. Set sales targets and work with store managers to develop strategies to achieve them.
  3. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  4. Ensure that all stores are well-stocked with quality products at competitive prices.
  5. Train and develop store managers to effectively manage their teams and deliver exceptional customer service.
  6. Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Address any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  9. Collaborate with other district managers and senior management to share best practices and drive overall company success.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to inform business decisions.
  11. Monitor and manage store budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  12. Implement and enforce safety and security measures in all stores.
  13. Represent the company at community events and maintain a positive brand image.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to store managers.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: A District Manager At Big Lots Should Possess Excellent Leadership Abilities To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Store Managers And Associates.

  • Retail Management Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In A District Or Multi-Store Capacity.

  • Financial Acumen: District Managers Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Metrics Such As Sales, Profit, And Inventory Management, And Be Able To Analyze And Interpret Data To Make Informed Decisions.
