- Monitor and enforce compliance with all company and legal policies and regulations.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and talent development through effective recruitment, hiring, and training practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, recognizing and rewarding performance, and addressing any employee relations issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and serve as a brand ambassador within the district and community.
- Manage and allocate district budgets and resources effectively to optimize performance and achieve financial objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure all stores within the district are providing a positive shopping experience.
Strong Leadership Skills: A District Manager At Big Lots Must Have Demonstrated Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Employees, Including Hiring, Training, And Coaching.
Retail Management Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In A Multi-Store Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Merchandising, Inventory Management, And Sales Strategies.
