Job Description

As Category Manager, Procurement at Big Lots, you will be a key member of the procurement team, working to ensure that the company is always supplied with the highest quality products and services. You will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing the procurement process, and ensuring that the company’s objectives are met.   1. Develop and execute category strategies to ensure that Big Lots is supplied with the highest quality products and services.
  2. Source and negotiate with suppliers to get the best possible deals.
  3. Manage the procurement process, ensuring that the company’s objectives are met.
  4. Monitor and analyze market trends and changes in the industry.
  5. Research and stay up-to-date with procurement law.
  6. Develop relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
  7. Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  8. Manage and track the procurement budget.
  9. Provide regular reports and updates to the team and other stakeholders.
  10. Monitor progress and performance against set goals.
