Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, procurement and management of assigned categories.
- Manage and lead a team to ensure procurement goals and objectives are met.
- Utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Analyze category and supplier performance to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
- Analyze market trends and recommend changes in product mix and pricing to ensure maximum profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance.
- Establish relationships with key suppliers and maintain regular contact with them.
- Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of supplier information.
- Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure financial goals are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Provide timely, accurate and clear reporting of performance metrics.
