We are a leading retail provider of closeouts, excess inventory and overstock items, and we are looking for a Category Manager to join our Procurement team.In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing our Procurement department, ensuring that all purchasing activities and strategies are in line with our goals and objectives. You must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and make smart decisions. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the Procurement department to ensure that all purchasing activities and strategies are in line with company goals and objectives.
  2. Analyze data and trends to make smart decisions that will help drive sales and profits.
  3. Develop and implement purchasing and inventory control strategies to maximize sales and profits.
  4. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
  5. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of products.
  6. Create and maintain detailed reports and metrics to monitor performance.
  7. Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  8. Manage and motivate a team of purchasing professionals.
  9. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to procurement and purchasing.
