We are looking for an ambitious Category Manager to join our Procurement team at Big Lots. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing vendor relationships, and driving the procurement process. You will collaborate with our retail and sourcing teams to create long-term value and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.To be successful in this role, you should have strong strategic vision, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work and communicate with multiple stakeholders.We are looking for a motivated individual who has the drive to succeed and is excited to be part of our team. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for product procurement
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate with vendors to receive the best prices and terms
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on category performance
  • Research and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings
  • Collaborate with retail and sourcing teams to create long-term value
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers
  • Implement strategies to improve processes and efficiencies
