
Category Manager, Procurement
As a Category Manager, Procurement at Big Lots, you’ll be a key member of our Procurement team, helping to ensure the best value and selection of products for our customers. We’re looking for an experienced leader to be responsible for the development and execution of strategies to optimize our supplier relationships, drive business value, and ensure our customers have access to the products they need.To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, at least 5 years of retail procurement experience, and an understanding of the retail industry. You’ll need to have strong analytical skills and be able to work well with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize supplier relationships and drive business value.

- Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the selection of high-quality products.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of products for customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Identify areas for improvement within the procurement process.
- Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers.
